The 2018-2019 Girls’ Basketball season is under way, for the Greyhounds traveled up to North Central on November 27th to face the Indians in their first non-league match up. Starting the season off with a new coach, the girls were ready to put in the work. Early in the first half, the Indians pulled out to a quick lead, leaving the Greyhounds to fall behind. The Greyhounds struggled with running an effective offensive due to the Indians' strategic defensive ability. Though Pullman’s defensive was effective, they were unable to shut down North Central’s offensive rotation. The Greyhounds unfortunately ended the game with a final score of 64-26, giving the Indians the win on the season opener. Junior Rian Clear led the team, finishing with 12 points. She was closely followed by sophomore Meghan McSweeney with seven points. The Pullman Greyhounds look to redeem themselves as they make the long trip up to Grandview to face the other Greyhounds.
