The PHS Girls’ Basketball team fought hard against their non league border rivals, but were overcome by 12 points. Moscow’s Hannah Broyles had a great game, scoring 23 points, of which only 9 were free throws. Star players for Pullman included Junior Brenna Utzman, star Senior Kelsey Nestegard who scored 17 points, and the returning Sophomore Rian Clear, who tallied up 12 despite not playing for the whole game. Rian Clear is expected to start after she fully recovers from the injury that had prevented her from playing in previous outings. As has often occurred during Pullman Girls games this year, they started poorly, being outscored by 10 points 1st quarter, never being able to overcome that deficit. However, the girls were much more competitive after that rocky start, only being beat out by two points combined after that disastrous quarter. This game brings Pullman’s record down to (1-3), and Moscow’s record up to (2-4).
