The Pullman Greyhound boys' basketball team lost to the East Valley Knights on Friday, January 6th. The Hounds started strong, scoring an impressive 20 points in the first quarter. However, they were not able to continue this strong form and only managed to score 11 points to finish the half ahead 28-31. Still ahead at half The Hounds came into the third quarter feeling confident, but this would not last as the Knights once again managed to outscore them with a 18-15 half in favor of the knights. With the game now tied at 46 points apiece The Hounds desperately needed to draw ahead in the waning minutes of the game. It was not to be however, as the Knights scored a monstrous 27 points in the 4th quarter, winning the game 73 to 62. After the game, senior Jake Cillay commented that "we have a lot left to work on, but we feel confident going into the rest of the season." The Hounds' next fixture is on Friday, January 13th.
