Lynden hoisted up one last three point attempt and then the buzzered went off. The Celebration had begun in the Sun Dome for the Pullman fans and team. We were back to back state champions and there was no better feeling. I am speaking on behalf of the 2013-2014 state basketball champions and mainly for us six seniors; Jeremy Davidson, Joe Kurle, Race Martin, Aj Miles, Tanner Therrian, and me David Ungerer. For us to be part of the first ever state championship in pullman high school history in boys basketball the previous year was an unbelievable feeling and moment to be part of. But for us to go out on top as seniors this year is like none other feeling we have ever felt. This year, even though we accomplished the same awards as last year, being league, district, regional, and state champs, it had a much different feeling then last years team. Last year when we won it, the feeling was of almost surprise that we were good enough to be able to do it. This year we knew that we were good enough to win the whole thing again and we set it as a goal for this team before the season even started. When we had reached our goals, it was more of a rewarding feeling knowing that we had reached every goal we set out for. No matter what though, to be able to bring the first and second ever state championships to a school who is well known across the state for having successful athletics and constantly competing for state championships in all sports, is a feeling of undescribable excitement, joy, and pride. For all six seniors and the rest of this amazing team,I'd like to thank everyone for the support throughout the year. The fans, alumni, parents, teachers, administration, and especially the coaching staff and Coach Brantner who is the best coach anyone can ask for, we thank you for being as much of a part of the team as any of us players. Go Hounds!!
