In a deceptively uneven matchup, the Pullman Boys' Soccer team outplayed the North Central Indians to earn their first win of the season. Although the final score was only 2-0, the outcome was never in question with the Hounds' constant pressure and superior passing. Pullman outshot North Central 13 to 4, putting constant pressure on the Indians' defense and wearing them down. Jared Holstad scored the first goal of the match, netting a 58th minute header off of a corner kick, played by Kaden Hildenbrand. Sebastien Lewis went on to score in the 72nd minute, putting in a rebound off of a beautiful free kick shot by Won-Jun Kim. Despite the win, Pullman will look to improve on their finishing ability and play in the attacking third. The defense was very solid, allowing only 3 shots on target all game, letting Pullman keeper Graham Laird make 3 routine saves. The Hounds look to continue winning vs Shadle Park on Friday, March 19th at 6:00 p.m at the Valley Playfields in Pullman.
