RATHDRUM, Idaho - Jake Pru continued his dominant winning streak at No. 1 singles while Tim Watts and Casey Crow made a dramatic rally at No. 1 doubles to lead the traveling Greyhounds to a nonleague victory over Lakeland of Rathdrum.
Pru shut out Lakeland's Brandon Brown 6-0, 6-0 for a seventh consecutive straight-sets victory, while on the next court over Watts and Crow lost the first set 0-6 to Lakeland's Nate Peck and David Durfee before storming back to take the second 6-2 and win a match tiebreak 10-6.
"Jake was strong as usual," said Pullman coach Cody Wendt. "Tim and Casey were getting killed at first, but they they showed heart and versatility and made the adjustments they needed to flip their match on its head."
Freshman twins Jay and Om Sahaym picked up a straight-sets win at No. 2 doubles for the Greyhounds, as did the first-time pairing of Ravi Lin and David Crossler at No. 3 doubles.
