The Hounds took home first place again, which they had already done for the two previous GNL tournaments. They accumulated 176 points using the newly implemented Stableford scoring system, in which the highest score wins. Boys Win Another League Tournament

The Boys' Golf team traveled to the Fairways Golf Course in Cheney on Tuesday, April 25th for the third GNL tournament of the year. Pullman pulled out another victory and are now 3-0 in league matches. They shot 442 times total, just staying under Cheney's score of 448. Clarkston came in 3rd, followed by West Valley in 4th, and East Valley in 5th.

Junior Eric Martin tied for the best overall individual score with Travis Hansen of Clarkston - both at 74 strokes. For Pullman, Martin was followed by Terry Byrne's 82 strokes, Dane Bednar's 84, Ethan Kramer's 96, and Josh Grote's 106.

Coach Craig McCormick was enamoured with his team's effort, saying, "Everybody played well today, even though the weather was bad again. I was pleased with how we played overall as a team. Eric Martin had his low score of the year and his low in high school golf, so he played great. Josh and Terry played really well, too, given their levels of experience. Now we just have to play well next week at our home tournament up at Palouse Ridge."

As McCormick mentioned, Pullman's next meet is at Palouse Ridge. It will be the fourth GNL tournament of four total, and it takes place on Thursday, May 4th.
