Julia Lupkes on Pullman High school Girls Golf team took first overall shooting a 90 for the hounds at the East Valley invite that took place on Thursday, April 27th. Nice job Julia Lupkes for the win! The next tournament will be taking place on Thursday, May 3rd at Palouse Ridge Golf course for their 4th GNL tournament.
Pullman girls’ golf hosted their first invite of the season at Palouse Ridge Golf Course with 12 teams in total on Wednesday April 11th. It was a hard match for Pullman girls golf with playing such amazing competition and ended up getting 10th place. Thanks to all the teams that came out. There next league match is coming up and will be held at Hangman golf course on Wednesday April 18th.
Pullman boys’ golf hosted their first invite of the season at Palouse Ridge Golf Course with 27 teams in total on Thursday April 12th. It was a tournament no team wanted to miss the opportunity to play in. The Pullman Greyhounds took 11th place tying with West Valley (Yakima) out of a lot of good competition. The next league tournament will be held at Hangman Golf Course on Wednesday April 18th.
Golf Sends Three to State
Four boys and three girls on the Pullman golf team competed in the second round of Districs on Tuesday, May 16th. The boys played at the Qualchan Golf Course in Spokane, and the girls played at the Indian Canyon Golf Course (also in Spokane). The first round of State will take place on Tuesday, May 23rd, at the same locations. For the boys, junior Eric Martin and freshman Dane Bednar will move on to State. Junior Julia Lupkes qualified for the girls. Congratulations and good luck to them!
Three Girls Advance in Districts
On Thursday, May 11th, the Girls' Golf team competed in the first round of Districts at the MeadowWood Golf Course in Liberty Lake. The Hounds were represented by seniors Bethany Loomis and Tyra Whitefoot, junior Julia Lupkes, sophomore Katelyn Cornish, and freshmen Karly Bean and Elsie Lupkes.
Julia Lupkes, Cornish, and Bean will move on to the second round of Districts. It will take place on Tuesday, May 16th, at the Indian Canyon Golf Course in Spokane.
