Tuesday, September 27th, Pullman traveled to Cheney for a three-set thriller. Cheney put up a good fight, but Pullman managed to pull through with yet another win. The three set scores were all very close, coming out to 25-23, 25-23, and 25-15. Even though Pullman had a slow start, they played very well both defensively and offensively. Cheney, on the other hand, was very good at blocking, causing some difficulty for the Pullman hitters throughout the match. However, they still managed to score points on kills. Cheney also had strong serves, which really gave Pullman a run for their money. Defensively, Hanna Gecas and Addie Hawes did a great job of getting all the tips that the setter threw over. Lucy Gao continued to have the most assists of the night with 27 in total, as well as three blocks and four aces. Maddy Oelke and Mikayla Uhlenkott led the team in kills, with nine for Maddy and eight for Mikayla. Tianah Sanders had a couple of good blocks, contributing to the close game. Hounds look to continue this winning streak on Tuesday, October 2nd when they face East Valley--the only team that has beat the Pullman Greyhounds so far this season.
