The Girls' swim season is coming to an end but not without one final competition. The state qualifiers from the Pullman High School Girls' Swim Team will be traveling to Federal Way to represent the Greyhounds at the state competition on October 12th. Swimmers Taylor McCoy and Caroline Brock will compete in their individual events. McCoy will be participating in the 200 freestyle, 200 IM, 100 backstroke, and 100 breaststroke. Brock will be participating in the 500 freestyle. Alongside these individual events, two relay teams from from the Girls' Swim Team will also be representing Pullman High School. The relay team of Taylor McCoy, Isobel Gleason, Emma Horstkamp, and Caroline Brock will be participating in the 200 medely relay and the relay team of Taylor McCoy, Isobel Gleason, Adeline Thayer, and Caroline Brock will be participating in the 400 freestyle relay.
Girls' Swim Districts
During October 29th through 31st the Pullman Girls' Swim Team competed in districts at Moses Lake High School. The Hounds displayed an incredible performace, overall finshing first place at the event. Taylor McCoy and Caroline Brock will be moving onto state in their respective individual events and will be leaving on November 12th to compete on November 13th through 14th. They will be followed by the Hounds' relay qualifier teams for the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle relay. The Hounds will be competing at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, WA. Lets go Hounds!
Girls' Swim vs Selah and Cheney
Last week the Pullman Girls' Swim Team competed against both Selah and Cheney. The Girls put on an outstanding performance that resulted in another two wins to add on to their undefeated league record. They defeated Selah 122-44 and Cheney 113-56. The Hounds now lead the league at 6-0. At the Saturday meet, the 200 Medley Relay team of Taylor McCoy, Isobel Gleason, Emma Horstkamp, and Caroline Brock improved their state qualifier time from 1:59.6 to 1:47.38. The Hounds are looking very strong moving into the district competition starting Thursday. Keep up the good work Hounds!
