Hounds Beat Prosser and Grandview in First League Meet
The Pullman High School girls swim team defeated both Prosser (100-65) and Grandview (129-35) in their first league meet of the season. Junior Taylor McCoy made state qualifying times in the 200 free and the 100 breast with fellow junior, Caroline Brock making the 500 free. The Hounds swim in Cheney on Saturday.
The pool at the PSH aquatic center has been closed due to a malfunction with the circulation fan. Unfourtunatly this means that the swim meet scheduled for today has been also been canceled. The swim team will continue practicing at the WSU aquatic center for two weeks until the PHS pool is reopened.
Girls' Swim in Seattle Times
The swim season has started, and The Seattle Times has been tracking our performance. We have been placed in the top 10 swim teams to watch. Keep up the good work Hounds!
Last weekend, Girl's Swim had their state meet in Fedral Way. Sophomore Taylor McCoy repeated as State Champion in the 200 IM and the 100 Back. Caroline Brock took 3rd in the 500 Free, while Courtni Larsen finished 6th in the 100 Breast (and set a school record in prelims), and Rose Jao was 8th in the 100 free. The Medley Relay finished 3rd. Overall the team placed 4th at state.
