The Greyhounds traveled up to Cheney on October 25th for the first round of the District Seven 2A playoffs. Coming off of a 2-0 win against the Clarkston Bantams on their senior night, Pullman knew they had to come out with the same intensity. Scheduled for a 7 P.M. match, the weather was not in Pullman’s favor with continuous showers making their ball control more difficult. Entering the first half the Greyhounds came out to a slow start with a quick goal in the second minute scored by Makenzie Huotari, putting them behind early in the game. Not long after Huotari scored another goal in the 19th minute, weakening the Greyhounds defensive line. Two more goals followed in the 25th and 31st minute, leaving the score 4-0 going to into halftime. Pullman continued to struggle with their attacking game, however they were able to keep the scoring to a minimum with no goals in the second half.
With the final score of 4-0, Cheney taking the win, the Greyhounds 2018 soccer season comes to an unfortunate close, however the Girls Soccer team is still in good spirits and hopeful for next season.
