The CWAC/GNL District Glue Meet happened this Saturday, where the top four teams and the top 28 runners would advance to state. The JV Boys ran first where Asher Cousins of Pullman ran a PR of 17:01 getting second place overall and allowing him to run at state. Next were the Varsity Girls where Jenna Herzog, Charity Cordova, and Ryan Hyatt competed to advance to state. Jenna Herzog ran a season record of 18:38 getting 2nd overall. Charity Cordova also advanced to State with a time of 19:46 and placing 21st overall. Unfortunately, Ryan Hyatt ran a 21:01 placing 36th, which will not advance her to state. Last up were the Varsity Boys, where the Pullman Boys were looking for a win after going undefeated all season. The Pullman Boys had never won Regionals (4th, 3rd, 3rd), but after their fantastic 2017 season they were looking for another victory. Eliason Kabasenche led the Pullman boys with a personal record of 15:41 placing 3rd overall. Soon to follow was Roman Romanyuk getting 5th place with a time of 15:49, also a personal best. Then came Patrick Nairimo (14th), Aron James (18th), Oscar Edge (22nd), and Sebastien Lewis (24th). Pullman had six runners in the top 25, where the next closest team (Selah) only had two. Pullman ended up blowing out the competition winning with 49 points where Selah who got second only had 67 points. Pullman Boys made regionals look easy and hope to carry their success over to State this weekend.
