Hounds Baseball Dominates to a 2-0 Start

On Saturday, April 17, the Hounds Baseball team traveled up to Rogers High School in Spokane for a double header against the Pirates. The Hounds dominated both games winning 30-4 in the first game and 15-3 in the second game. In the first game, Senior Hyatt Utzman led the Hounds going three for three with a double and three RBI’s to go along with four scored runs. Senior Ryan Bickelhaupt earned the win for the Hounds pitching 2 innings when relivers Oak Held, Tyler Elbracht, and Carson Coulter came in to finish off the first game allowing a total of two hits.

In the second game, Senior Carson Coulter went three for three in five at-bats with two walks, two stolen bases and two RBI’s while scoring four runs. The Hounds pitching dominated again only allowing one hit from the three pitchers, Brady Wells, Hyatt Utzman and Nick Robison. However, the Hounds had two errors which is something they will look to improve on going into the next game. The Hounds will look to start the season 3-0 when they are back home for the first time since 2019 on Tuesday, April 20th to take on the East Valley Knights.
